These terms apply when you use Attune, a spiritual formation app operated by Eric Shonebarger. By creating an account you agree to them and to the Privacy Policy.
Who can use Attune
You must be 18 or older. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in secure.
What Attune is and is not
Attune offers devotional readings, reflection prompts, an AI chat and a way to contact your church’s pastors. It is not counseling, medical, legal or emergency care. AI-written content can be wrong; use your own judgment and the guidance of your church. Pastoral messages are not continuously monitored. In an emergency, call 911, or call or text 988 in the U.S.
Using Attune well
- Don’t use Attune to harass, threaten or harm anyone, or to impersonate someone or a church.
- Don’t try to break, overload or get around the app’s security or limits.
- Anyone can add a church. Add only a real church you belong to, and don’t present yourself as its leadership unless you are. A new church stays hidden until Attune’s administrator approves it.
Your content
What you write is yours. You allow us to store and process it to run Attune, keep people safe and carry out the research study described in the Privacy Policy.
Sharing a devotion
If you share a devotion, its link is public: anyone with it can read the devotion’s title, scripture and reflection until you stop sharing. It shows nothing about you. Previews already copied by other sites can’t be recalled, and links stay live after you delete your account unless you stop sharing them first. Don’t share a devotion that contains something you want to keep private.
Research study
Attune is part of a Doctor of Ministry research study. Using Attune means taking part; you can withdraw at any time. The Privacy Policy explains what is collected and how to withdraw.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time from your Profile. We may suspend accounts that break these terms or put others at risk.
No warranty
Attune is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from its use.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms and will change the date above when we do. Questions: [email protected].
